Yankee Ridge recently hosted Family Reading Night. The event was a success with over 100 students and family members participating in reading based activities. The theme for the event was Super Hero Night, and many students came dressed to the event as their favorite book character or superhero character. Highlights included students reading superhero books, making a mask, reading books to family members and friends, making a comic strip, and creating a superhero using alliteration. At the end of the evening, students were given two free books to encourage reading at home.
